Joey Roberts is a 70's rock guitarist whos music is influenced through his upbringing in Africa.
Using computer sequencing to generate backings for his guitar playing, his music is a mix of a lifetimes influence from: The Doobie Brothers, Osibias, Deep Purple, Santana and African local traditional music- bringing about his own interpretation of rhythm and style.
Composing and song writing with Grant Hilton Barber, Fridayknight was born as a song writing Duo, then as a publishing vehicle for their music.
This CD is the result of that effort and the best bits reworked commercially.
Part of this music comes from the
" A Sad African Tale"- put out for Rhino Breeding in Zimbabwe after a wildlife documentary featuring Joe's music won an International TV and Movie award in 1993.
